It’s been a very busy summer at Braelands. We had our spring calving cows pregnancy tested in December with terrific results of over 90% all cows pregnant. We put the bulls in for only 6 weeks of the year (2 cycles) so that all the calves are born, and grow up together. We work on a ratio of 1 bull to 30 – 40 cows.  Read more

If keeping in the fridge, place it in fridge with fat side up. (After sitting for a few weeks fat side down, the fat can sour a bit). If bringing from freezer, allow to defrost in your fridge the day (and night; if big roast) before.

In central Queensland I worked for Australia’s largest cattle company where I gained extensive knowledge of the beef industry.
