Spaghetti Bolognese

  • 1 kg Braelands mince
  • 2 onions chopped up
  • 3 smashed garlic clove
  • oil.
  • 1 cup stock or red wine
  • Tin of tomatoes
  • Jar of tomato pasta sauce
  • Your choice of chopped vegies, olives, herbs


Put some oil in a large saucepan, warm and fry off garlic, add mince and brown for 3-4 minutes until no pink. Add onion continue to fry. At this stage you can add lots of different things. You will need some form of liquid, about a cup of either stock or red wine. Also a tin of tomatoes or a jar of tomato pasta sauce. Then you can add your choice of olives, herbs, chopped veggies etc. let it simmer and thicken to a consistency you like, give it at least 30 minutes. Taste and season with salt and pepper, and also some sugar if it needs it. Add what you like and enjoy, this will freeze well too ( as does all mince meals).
